Organizers of the internet contest "Maya" have recently received a letter from the Government of the Netherlands. Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport of the Netherlands welcomed the idea of contest "Maya" and stated the importance of the international anti-drug struggle, waged by the World League "Mind out of Drugs."
Bellow is the quote of Edith Schippers, minister of Health, Welfare and Sport of the Netherlands, received in above mentioned email: "I have read the letter with information concerning your organization “Mind Free of Drugs” which internationally combats drug addiction and the internet initiative “Maya” with interest...The drug policy which is coordinated by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports is based on two pillars. That of protecting public health on the one part and combating nuisance and crime on the other. The aim of our drug policy is to prevent drug use as much as possible and to reduce health risks related to drug use. Within the existing instruments geared to the lifestyle of young people, cannabis is given a lot of attention because, after alcohol, it has the greatest impact of all substances on the development of young people.”
The minister also wished the project 'Maya' to achieve all the aimed goals at creating a world free of drugs. We are pleased that more and more international governmental agencies support anti-drug activities of our project.
