Jean-Marie Le Guen, Socialist Party MP, speaks out in favor of opening special placed for drug use, so called shooting rooms.
Currently, illegal use of drugs, for example of heroin, leads to the spread of diseases like hepatitis C. Shoot-up rooms could change this situation. They will not only facilitate safe drug use, but will also contribute to medical and social adaptation of drug addicts.
Since there haven’t been any scientific evidence that these special places will encourage the use of hard drugs among ordinary marijuana users, Toulouse might become the first city where such room will appear.
