During the special operation Mak-2012 [Poppy-2012] carried out in the territory of Yakutia, police officers found a large cannabis plantation. The territory was under surveillance. Police tried to detect the hemp pickers. The efforts of the police were fruitful: two criminals are arrested.
According to Deita, the regional information agency, late Friday evening policemen saw two young men picking up cannabis at the plantation. While being arrested, the suspects showed violent resistance. A police officer had to use service gun against one of the criminals. However, his wounds proved to be nonfatal.
Their car, left in a vicinity, was searched. There were found two bags of cannabis, 4 kg each. The materials are submitted to the investigative authorities for the clarification of the facts and circumstances of the case.
