A session of the International commission on struggle against drug problem and illicit drug trade takes place in Peru. Experts from Argentina and Peru participate in the event.
Pedro Dario Alessandro, the head of DEVIDA (the National Commission on development and life without drugs) who also acts as the Ambassador of Argentina to Peru, has opened the meeting, saying that the event embodies the greatest interest of the two countries in the ultimate victory over the drug problem.
“The discussions to take place during the session will help experts representing both countries improve methods of struggle against this evil”, the chairman said.
The main points of the agenda include reducing drug trade within the region, improvement of treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts and exchange of experience in preventive activity.
