South China: new executions of foreign drug dealers

17.08.2012

No effort of the diplomatic service of the Philippines directed to saving its citizens from Chinese prisons bore fruit. Three citizens of the Philippines detained in China for drug trafficking were shot dead.

The drug mules – a man and a woman – were arrested in South China while they were trying to smuggle several kilograms of heroin in 2008, however the sentence was enforced only today.

It’s noteworthy that if a drug mule was arrested having more than 50 g of hard drugs, he or she is to be sentenced to death.
