16.08.2012

According to sources in the police of Queensland, Australia, Sadri Ahmetaj, 42, the alleged leader of a large drug cartel, was arrested as a result of the Operation Storm. Besides, Queensland’s Crime and Misconduct Commission has issued a writ against the detainee’s property amounting to 216,000 Australian dollars.

Among other things, the confiscated property includes Bentley Continental GT coupe, sea-craft and real estate.

Totally for the period 2006-2012, the drug cartel led by Sadri Ahmetaj has sold at least 30 kg of heroin amounting to 25,000,000 Australian dollars.

“The arrest of property is a clear demonstration of the fact that no one criminal on the territory of Australia can benefit from illegal actions”, CMC Assistant Commissioner Crime Kathleen Florian said.
