As a result of two large international operations carried out by pole of Belgium, Italy and the USA, 72 million euro worth of drugs was intercepted.
Besides, the police officers managed to arrest 69 people accessory to an international drug cartel. The total weight of 440 kg of cocaine and 200 kg of heroin, ready for transportation and sale, was found in hiding places of the criminal group.
Most of the drugs – the 400 kg of cocaine - were found on La Grasiosa island in an improvised underground storage.
