While examining a freezer trawler-floating factory coming from the Korean port of Pusan, Russian customs officers discovered consignment of hashish. Or, to be more precise, it was a sniffer dog which found the drugs in the cabin of his fellow creature. Parcels with the drug had been hidden in the kennel on the ship’s deck.
“The forensic processing has shown that the substance we had found was hashish,” the press service of city authorities of Nakhodka says.
“A criminal case is initiated in accordance with the article ‘smuggling of drugs’ imposing sanctions of 15-20 years in prison and a fine up to 1,000,000 Russian roubles. During the investigation, the organs of inquiry are to identify the criminal who had hidden the drugs”.
Apparently, the dog living aboard of the trawler is clear from suspicion.
