Eva Rausing, daughter of one of the Pepsi corporation´s directors and the wife of the heir of the Tetra Pak packaging corporation, was found dead at her home in west London, July 10, 2012. According to the criminologists, drug overdose caused her death. This is indirectly confirmed by the fact that shortly before the tragedy, her husband, 49-year-old Hans Christian Rausing, was caught with drugs.
Now, Christian Rausing, a billioner, will be charged for causing death by negligence, Scotland Yard believes that he was the one, who gave a lethal dose to Eva. It should be noted that the billionaire, who suffers from addiction, met with Eva Rausing in one of the treatment clinics in the United States.
Both Eva and Christian, were arrested for drug abuse in the past as well. In 2008 they were arrested for possession of heroine. "I have made a terrible mistake, and now my life is going in fatal way", said Eva back then. Her husband, a Swedish citizen, was never engaged in business and devoted his whole life to spiritual practices. His friends are convinced that he got addicted to drugs on his way to self-discovery during his visits to India.
Over the past 20 years Eva Rausing herself has been actively involved in charity work, supporting rehabilitation centers for drug addicts.
