Will jelly bears be equated to marijuana?

11.07.2012

Recently, among the organizations involved in sociological surveys, it became trendy to test ordinary citizens and politicians in Germany on a variety of savory topics. However, without any surveys, it is an obvious fact that powers also do not mind smoking a "bong". Otherwise, they would have adopted a law to ban marijuana long ago.

Not so long ago FORSA held a survey in Berlin based on which it was found that 34% of adults at least once in their lives tried marijuana. With regard to political affiliation, the most heavy smokers of marijuana among the members of "green" party and "pirates" party. Almost half of the electorate is or was drug users. It is also interesting that the supporters of the CDU more likely to use marijuana than people acting in support of the Social Democrats (CDU - 29% SPD - 25%). 28 percent of the population of Germany is for a total ban and tough prosecution of distributors.

Thus, no matter what position this or that party takes on the ban \ legalization of marijuana, it will lose most of its voters. In this light, for some it is a lack of will to fight for legalization, for the others - to make a strict ban. Marijuana, is kind of banned, but it is kind of permitted. And it is good for eveyone. The fact that tobacco was introduced by the Spaniards in1518 and since then has managed to take its place in the society. Its adversive effect on the human body was found too late. If marijuana had appeared in wide use at the same time, today it possibly could have occupied the place of tobacco and alcohol.

Of course, marijuana is not totally harmless. However, if only absolutely harmfless things to the body would be allowed in the society, then we would have no such things as mountain climbing, auto racing, biking, computer games, sex and jelly bears. But it is obvious that even the most rigid opponents of marijuana will never give up things like this ...
