In St. Charles, Missouri (USA), two drug addicts stole a truck with about 2,000 mice.
Theft occurred on June 27, while the truck driver went for breakfast, leaving the car with a living cargo, intended for medical research, in the parking lot at one of the city's hotels.
Attackers broke the window and got into the car where engine was left running to maintain temperature for mice. Police found hijackers within 20 minutes as the car had a tracking system. According to the attackers, they suffered from heroin addiction, and they needed the truck with animals to find money for drugs.
Cost of mice is approximately $ 10000.
