Young citizen of the United Kingdom was sentenced to death for marijuana trafficking in Abu Dhabi (UAE capital).

One of the oldest U.S. weekly magazines, “The Nation”, reports that the arrest of the Briton was carried out during a police operation, when police officer under the guise of a drug dealer bought marijuana. “The Daily Mail” confirms this information. According to them, British citizen was sentenced to death.
Operation was carried out in two stages. Firstly, the police representative purchased small dose for $ 137. Only later, after making sure that what was sold is indeed marijuana, he bought another dose, this time for $410. Briton was arrested immediately after he had received money.
According to the number of information portals, his accomplice, citizen of Syria, was also arrested and sentenced to death. Two others involved people in the gang, citizen of the UAE and Sudanese national, got off with lighter punishment.
It is widely reported that, most likely, the sentence will be disputed. Currently the situation is closely followed the British Foreign Office, which is in constant contact with colleagues from the UAE, but cannot effect the course of the events.
