Questions

  • Doctors tend not to talk about "recovered drug addicts," and prefer the term "inactive addicts" those who dont use drugs right at given moment. In your opinion, is it not possible to get rid of this label? Even in the opinion of drug treatment experts, patients remain forever addicted. How can the modern society be taught to have an adequate attitude toward former drug addicts and consider them as a part of the society?

In my opinion, there is no secret prevention method. However, regular monitoring of children is very important. It isn’t correct to think that only good education guarantees the protection of children. There are a lot of young people from respectable families who became victims of abuse because of bad friends.

  • In you opinion how important is parental education and relationships within the family in preventing drug addiction?

  • What should be in the Internet age and growth of online communities informational methods to combat drug addiction? What do you think, what means will be most effective today, and how the state should behave in order to successfully affect the suffering of drug addiction and to conduct prevention among healthy population?

A person can lose a lot of things he will be grieving about, but, probably, nothing can be more terrible then losing mind, since it is responsible for planning life, for the ability to withstand crises and to achieve set goals.

There are a lot of informational methods today, but in my opinion, the way HOW information is conveyed to people, especially to youth, is the most important aspect. Innovative ways of informing the public, which would show all the terrible consequences of drug abuse, should be developed. Advertisings, movies and documentaries must be well shaped in a respectful way, considering the mentality. At the same time they should draw the attention of the audience and should be presented in the form of consultation and advice.
